Haryana Congress to Expose BJP Government’s Two Years of ‘Misrule’ and Broken Promises
Haryana Congress will hold statewide press conferences on Wednesday to target the Nayab Singh Saini government over alleged misrule, broken promises, unemployment, inflation and law-and-order concerns as the BJP completes two years in office.
The Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee said senior party leaders would hold press conferences across the state on Wednesday to mark the completion of two years of the BJP government’s third consecutive term in Haryana.
The leaders scheduled to address the press conferences include Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Rao Narender Singh, Birender Singh, Kumari Selja, Raj Babbar, Deepender Singh Hooda, Jai Prakash and Varun Chaudhary.
In a statement, the state Congress said, “Party leaders will expose the government’s two years of misrule, unfulfilled promises, anti-people policies and administrative failures.”
The BJP government in Haryana completed two years of its third consecutive term on Saturday.
The Congress, the principal opposition party in the state, alleged that every section of society, including farmers, labourers, youth, women, students and small traders, was distressed by the BJP government’s anti-people policies and felt “cheated”.
Sanjay Dutt, the Congress in-charge for Haryana affairs, said rising inflation, unemployment and the deteriorating law-and-order situation had further aggravated the difficulties faced by ordinary people.
The Congress also alleged that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini remained occupied with foreign tours and political visits to other states instead of addressing public grievances.
According to the party, the people of Haryana were demanding accountability from the government, but Saini was ignoring their problems.
The opposition party demanded that the government provide an account of its performance over the past two years and answer the questions raised by the people of Haryana.
The Congress further claimed that the BJP’s development claims remained confined to paper, while the situation on the ground was serious. The party’s planned statewide press conferences on Wednesday are intended to bring these allegations and concerns into public focus as the government marks two years of its current term.
